TD Insurance Multi-Trip All-Inclusive Plan

Planning to travel more than once a year? This annual plan can help provide coverage for medical emergencies as well as non-medical benefits like trip cancellation and baggage delay, for eligible trips throughout the year.

Emergency Travel Medical

Covers eligible costs such as:

  • Physician and hospital fees
  • Ambulance services
  • Diagnostic services
  • Accidental dental coverage
  • Cost of emergency return home for you, your insured spouse and your dependent children

Up to $5 million per insured person, per covered trip

Trip Cancellation

Covers eligible expenses for covered events that cause cancellation of your travel plans prior to trip departure.

Up to $2,500 per insured person or maximum $5,000 per family for each annual period of coverage

Trip Interruption

Covers eligible expenses for covered events that cause disruption of your travel plans after trip departure.

Up to $5,000 per insured person, per covered trip

Baggage and Personal Effects

Covers the cost to repair or replace your baggage and personal effects due to loss or damage by reason of theft, burglary, fire or transportation hazards during your covered trip.

Up to $1,000 per covered trip, up to a maximum of $2,000 for each annual period of coverage

Baggage Delay

Provides coverage to purchase necessary toiletries in the event that your checked baggage is delayed by the common carrier for more than 12 hours.

Up to $400 per covered trip, up to $800 for each annual period of coverage

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Flight Accident

Coverage for death and dismemberment as a result of an eligible injury sustained during the covered trip while aboard an aircraft.

Up to $200,000 per insured person, up to $1 million for each annual period of coverage

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Common Carrier Accident

Coverage for death and dismemberment as a result of an eligible injury sustained during the covered trip while aboard a common carrier.

Up to $100,000 per insured person, up to $500,000 for each annual period of coverage

Supplementary Non-Medical Benefits for Vehicle Assistance and Home Assistance

Provides emergency non-medical benefits during your trip if your vehicle or home is insured through TD Insurance Meloche Monnex.

Up to $5,000 in vehicle assistance for return of vehicle, return home or extended stay

Up to $5,000 in home assistance for return home, trip interruption or return of vehicle

Eligibility

 

You and any additional travellers are eligible to apply if you meet the following conditions:
  • You are a Canadian resident.
  • You are covered by the government health insurance plan of your province or territory of residence during your trip and at the time a claim is incurred.
  • The minimum age of coverage for anyone on your policy, including a spouse or dependent children is 15 days old. There is no maximum age limit for you or your spouse.1
  • There are certain medical conditions that could make you ineligible for coverage under this plan.2
  • If you are 15 days to 59 years old, the maximum trip length of each trip for this plan is 60 consecutive days.
  • If you are 60 years old or older, you have a choice of selecting the maximum trip length for each trip of 22 or 30 consecutive days.


Exclusions and Limitations

It’s important to know that benefits will only be paid for eligible expenses and only up to the maximum amount. A complete list of exclusions that apply to your plan will appear in your policy, but here are some examples.

  • Pre-existing medical conditions.3
  • Travelling against the advice of a physician.
  • Expenses not pre-approved by our administrator may be limited or excluded.
  • Abuse of alcohol, drug or toxic substances.
  • Self-inflicted injuries.
  • Travel to destinations under a travel advisory by the Canadian government.
  • Labour disruptions or strikes.
  • The birth of any child during your trip.
