Terms & Conditions — TD Insurance Horn Repair Goodwill Reimbursement Program
1. Definitions
“Program” means the TD Insurance Horn Repair Goodwill Reimbursement Program.
“Participant” means an eligible TD Insurance personal automobile insurance customer who submits a reimbursement request in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
“TD Insurance” means the TD Insurance company that issued your eligible personal automobile insurance policy, and any TD Insurance agency involved in distributing or administering that policy or this Program, including, as applicable, TD General Insurance Company, Primmum Insurance Company, Security National Insurance Company, TD Insurance Direct Agency Inc.,and Meloche Monnex Insurance and Financial Services Inc
“Reimbursement “means a limited-time promotional goodwill payment issued under the Program, subject to eligibility, validation, and these Terms and Conditions.
2. Nature of the Program
The Program is a limited-time promotional goodwill reimbursement program offered by TD Insurance.
The Program is not insurance coverage, does not form part of any insurance policy, certificate, endorsement or renewal, and is not administered through TD Insurance’s insurance claims process.
Participation in the Program does not create any contractual, coverage, claims-related, renewal, rating, underwriting, premium-related or other insurance rights.
Any Reimbursement issued under the Program is a discretionary promotional goodwill payment only. It is not a claim payment, premium rebate, premium discount, rate reduction, dividend, refund or return of premium, and will not affect the premium, rating, renewal, underwriting, claims history or coverage under any TD Insurance policy.
The Program is not an offer or incentive to purchase, renew, retain, cancel, amend or otherwise make any decision relating to an insurance product. Purchasing, renewing or retaining an insurance policy after the Program launch will not improve eligibility.
3. Eligibility
The Program is available only to residents of Canada who:
- were named insureds under an in-force TD Insurance personal automobile insurance policy as of June 1st, 2026.
- remain named insureds under an in-force TD Insurance personal automobile insurance policy at the time the eligible horn repair or replacement expense is incurred;
- are at least the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of submission; and
- satisfy all other requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
The Program applies only to eligible personal automobile policies and eligible insured vehicles. Commercial, fleet, garage, recreational, off-road or other excluded vehicles or policies are not eligible, unless TD Insurance expressly states otherwise.
TD Insurance reserves the right to verify residency, policy status, vehicle eligibility, proof of repair and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
4. Program Period
The Program is valid from June 12, 2026 to July 19, 2026, inclusive, or until the Program is terminated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Reimbursement requests must be received by TD Insurance no later than August 19, 2026. Requests received after this deadline will not be eligible for Reimbursement, regardless of the repair date.
5. Reimbursement Amount
Eligible Participants may receive a Reimbursement equal to the lesser of:
- the actual out-of-pocket amount paid for an eligible vehicle horn repair or replacement, inclusive of applicable taxes; and
- $150 CAD.
Limit of one Reimbursement per eligible policy during the Program Period.
Any costs exceeding the maximum Reimbursement amount, and any costs not expressly eligible under these Terms and Conditions, are the sole responsibility of the Participant.
6. Proof of Repair
To qualify, Participants must submit a paid receipt or invoice from a Canadian automotive repair facility authorized or qualified to perform vehicle repairs.
The receipt or invoice must clearly show:
- the repair facility’s name, address, contact information and GST/PST registration numbers.;
- the date of repair;
- the date of payment;
- the VIN
- that the repair or replacement related specifically to the vehicle horn; and
- the amount paid.
Repairs completed outside the Program Period are not eligible.
. TD Insurance may, in its discretion, assess, determine or validate the cause of the horn malfunction, including for purposes of confirming eligibility, preventing fraud or abuse, and administering the Program in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. TD Insurance may decline a Reimbursement request where the cause of the horn malfunction cannot be reasonably validated, appears inconsistent with the purpose of the Program, or is otherwise inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions. Any such assessment is conducted solely for purposes of this Program and does not constitute an insurance coverage assessment, claims investigation, claim decision, or admission of coverage or liability under any insurance policy.
7. Exclusions
The Program does not apply to:
- horn repairs or replacements that have not been completed;
- repairs or replacements completed outside the Program Period;
- diagnostic costs, unless directly included in the completed eligible horn repair or replacement;
- preventative maintenance or unrelated vehicle repairs;
- upgrades, customizations or enhancements to the vehicle horn;
- towing, rental vehicle, transportation or loss-of-use costs;
- fines, penalties, tickets, charges or other consequences arising from vehicle horn use;
- damage covered under an insurance policy or submitted as an insurance claim; or
- any costs that TD Insurance determines are not eligible under these Terms and Conditions.
8. Safety and Legal Use of Vehicle Horns
TD Insurance does not encourage unlawful, unsafe or unnecessary use of a vehicle horn. Vehicle horns should only be used where permitted by applicable law and when safe to do so.
9. Submission and Validation
Reimbursement requests must be submitted through request@tdinsurance.com no later than the submission deadline.
Participants must provide the required proof of repair and any other information reasonably required by TD Insurance to validate eligibility.
Participants should not submit driver’s licence numbers, banking information, health information, credit card numbers or other information not requested by TD Insurance.
All requests are subject to validation against the Program eligibility criteria.
Requests that are incomplete, illegible, non-compliant, duplicative, inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions, or that cannot be validated to TD Insurance’s satisfaction may be declined.
10. Payment
Approved Reimbursements will be issued by cheque to the eligible Participant.
Reimbursements are processed outside TD Insurance’s insurance and claims systems.
Reimbursements will be issued within 60 days after TD Insurance confirms that all Program requirements have been satisfied.
TD Insurance may request additional information or verification before issuing a Reimbursement.
11. Privacy
TD Insurance will collect, use and disclose personal information submitted in connection with the Program only for purposes of administering, validating, processing, auditing and reporting on the Program, and otherwise in accordance with TD’s Privacy Policy (https://www.td.com/ca/en/about-td/privacy-and-security/our-privacy-commitments) and applicable privacy laws.
12. Participant Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for:
- ensuring that all submitted information is accurate, complete and not misleading;
- retaining copies of submitted documentation;
- submitting the request before the applicable deadline; and
- paying any costs not covered under the Program.
13. Modification, Suspension or Termination
Subject to applicable law, TD Insurance may modify, suspend, extend or terminate the Program, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason.
Where practicable, TD Insurance will provide notice of material changes through the Program website or other appropriate channels.
Any eligible Reimbursement request submitted before a material change, suspension or termination will be assessed under the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of submission, subject to the Program limits.
14. General Conditions
This Program cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion or discount.
All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Subject to applicable law, TD Insurance’s decisions regarding eligibility and Reimbursement are final.

15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the province or territory in which the Participant resides and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights or protections that a Participant may have under applicable consumer protection, insurance, privacy or other laws.
Participation in the Program constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
